Balagam, a small budget film starring Priyadarshi and Kavya Kalyanram in lead roles won the hearts of many with its emotionally charged content. A success meet was organized in Hyderabad yesterday, in which director Harish Shankar also attended.
During his speech, Harish Shankar made some interesting points about the film industry. He said that just like there are different personalities present in a family, similarly the film industry is like a house which should work together. Harish said that the industry is already facing many issues such as OTT, censorship and the pandemic, and added that the industry needs to fight these external problems as a joint family.
Harish said that every cinema is special. Also, he indirectly talked about Venkatesh Maha’s recent interview which created a stir on social media. Harish remarked that terms such as mass cinema, class cinema and commercial cinema are used to classify just one film. He said that what matters to the audience is whether a film is good or not.
