In yet another honor for India at the soon-to-be-held Academy Awards, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has been chosen by the Academy to present the golden statuette at the Oscar ceremony on March 12 at the Dolby Theatre. Deepika shared the big news with her fans on Instagram on Thursday night.
Deepika will be the second Indian actress after Priyanka Chopra to perform at the Oscars. Riz Ahmed, Emily Blunt, Samuel L. Jackson, and popular Hollywood stars like Dwayne Johnson, Zoe Saldana, and Jennifer Connelly are just some of the stars who will be presenting Academy Awards at the ceremony this year.
Deepika has made the biggest blockbuster of her career with Shahrukh’s Pathan. The film is all set to beat Baahubali 2 within a few hours and become the highest grossing Hindi film of all time in the history of Indian cinema.
