C/o Kancharapalem director Venkatesh Maha landed himself in a big trouble for his audacious and insensitive language while criticizing commercial cinema and KGF in particular at a recent director’s roundtable. KGF fans and movie buffs did not take Venkatesh Maha’s comments lightly and criticized him on social media. The heat was such that since yesterday, the hashtag of Venkatesh Maha’s name is trending prominently on Twitter.

And looks like Venkatesh Maha has finally realized his mistake. On Tuesday night, he released a video on Twitter in which he apologized for the kind of language he used to express his opinion. “I apologize for my language, but I will not take back my opinion. I must also clarify that I have not targeted any particular language or film,” said the young director.

Well, it remains to be seen whether netizens will accept Venkatesh Maha’s apology and put an end to the controversy.
