LOS ANGELES (AP) – Lady Gaga will finally perform at the Oscars.
A person close to the production with knowledge of the performance confirmed Sunday afternoon that the pop superstar will sing “Hold My Hand,” the Oscar-nominated original song from “Top Gun: Maverick.”
Producers said earlier this week that Gaga’s schedule on the “Joker” sequel would prevent her from performing, but apparently the change following her comments allowed the performance to be included in the show.
With the addition of Gaga’s performance, all original songs nominated this year will be performed during the Oscars telecast. Variety first reported the change in plans.
Rihanna will perform “Lift Me Up” from “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” and Rahul Sipligunj and Kala Bhairav will sing Chandrabose and MM Keeravani’s “Naatu Naatu” from “RRR”. The songs “Tell It Like a Woman” and “Everywhere Everywhere All at Once” will also be performed.
