Bollywood started this year with a bang as King Khan Shah Rukh Khan as Pathan. The film broke all existing box office records in Hindi cinema and emerged as the new number one. Shah Rukh, who was away from the silver screen for four years, made a comeback of epic proportions.
The film, which has now entered its seventh week, is yet to slow down at the ticket window. Despite the new releases, the heavy-budget action thriller is still raking in decent numbers, and the collections are seeing a decent jump each weekend. Currently, the collections stand at 522.40 Cr nett at the domestic box office. Starring Deepika Padukone as the leading lady, the film stars John Abraham as the antagonist. Siddharth Anand, known for his big-budget action films, directed the film produced by Yash Raj Films.
