Siva Karthikeyan rose to stardom in Kollywood. With Doctor and Don, he has created a market in Telugu as well. His last outing Prince, directed by Anudeep KV, came amid high expectations, but the film was a major disappointment at the box office. Siva Karthikeyan will be next seen in Maveeran.
The film will be released in Telugu as Mahaveerudu. Popular television network Sun TV has grabbed the satellite rights of the film. This information has been given by the production house Shanti Talkies some time back.
Madon Ashwin, of Mandela fame, is the writer and director of the film. Aditi Shankar plays the female lead in Maveeran, and Bharat Shankar is the music composer. The promotions of the music have already started, and the release date will be announced soon.
